So since my last post we've had a day and a half of orientation doing things like learning bike safety, how to stay healthy and clean, painted our trailer, slept on thermarests (small camping air mattresses) and eating tons of food provided by the church we were staying at.
Today was the big day though. At 8:30 this morning we had our wheel dipping ceremony in the Atlantic in Virginia Beach. From there we road 57 miles to Suffok, VA. The best part of the day was just about 10 miles from our destination. Along the side of the road was a sign that said pick your own strawberries, so of course I wanted to investigate. We pulled in and found out that we could get an entire quart of strawberries for $3. These were the best strawberries I have ever had, they were so juicy and delicious. The church we are staying at tonight is huge, and the folks here were nice enough to make us a dinner of spaghetti and salad with cookies for dessert. I have a feeling we will be eating a lot of pasta this summer... thats ok though because I like it.
*Note: I don't know how often I will be updating my blog since I don't have my own computer, but one of the guys on my trip Andy, updates every day and takes tons of pictures so you should check out his website. I highly recommend it.
